Land transportation forum looking at the future and reviews the experiences of Aramco, electricity, and railways
The forum of (road transport and its role in the national economy), which is organized by Asharqia Chamber under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Prince of the Eastern Province Wednesday, May 18, 2016, reviews six working papers presented by a number of experts and specialists in the fields of transportation, came from a number of institutions and companies of quality experience, that discusses two axes (the role of the transportation sector in economic activity, and successful experiences in the field of transportation and logistic support).
Entitled the role of the transportation sector in the economic activity in the first session of the Forum, headed by Abdullah bin Ali Al Majdouie, the head of the general institution of ports Ports Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al Amoudi, discusses the vision of ports in transportation improvement, while the general manager of the General Organization of Railways Dr. Rumaih bin Muhammad Rumaih speaks about the strategies and challenges of transportation during the next 20 years, the head of the Transit General Authority Dr. Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Ohali reviews the vision of the Committee for the improvement of transportation, and the session will conclude by a paper about (the reality and prospects of transportation) presented by the executive manager of Arasco Logistic- member of the Committee of land transportation in Asharqia Chamber of Khalid bin Abdul Aziz al Bakri.
In the second session which included the axis: the successful experiences in the field of transportation and logistic support,headed by Khalid bin Abdullah Al Bawardi, reviewing the experiences of Saudi Aramco in the transfer of petroleum products, and presented by the Director of local sales and supporting logistics in the company engineer Khalid bin Salim Al Shammari, speaks also Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Feda from development services of educational transportation and its economic effects, as well as the Saudi Electricity Company's experience in supporting different transportation sectors and talking about it the head of the transportation sector Engineer Fathi Ben Ali Awami.
